Why Pavers Fade and Wash Out in Dr. Phillips
Sealing is only the last of three stages, and it's only as good as the prep under it. First we pressure wash the pavers and pull out the old joint sand, failing sealer, efflorescence, weeds, and any oil or rust. Then we re-sand the joints. Only once the surface is clean, re-sanded, and fully dry do we seal — because seal over washed-out joints and the pavers stay loose, seal over a damp surface and you lock a milky haze under a film you can't easily undo. That order is the whole game, and it's exactly what the spray-and-go quotes skip. You don't see the difference until year three, when the cheap finish starts to peel and the whole surface has to be redone.
